If you’ve been messing around in patch 0.3 and want something that’s insanely fast yet hard to kill, the Lightning Warp Blood Mage Witch is honestly one of the most fun builds I’ve played. You’re zipping all over the map, hitting packs before they even react, and a wall of Ball Lightning takes care of the rest. Bosses? They’re gone before they know it. Even the new Azmeri pantheon fights feel like a joke once you get comfortable. The whole thing kicks off with nonstop Lightning Warp casts, and Blood Mage lets you burn through life to power it while regen keeps ticking. With the right gear – stuff you can pick up alongside PoE 2 Items – it’s incredibly smooth to play from the moment you set it up.
The core loop is stupid simple: drop a Sigil of Power for the boost, start warping, and let your Cast on Crit setup sling Ball Lightning everywhere. Atalui’s Bloodletting is huge here, converting that life cost into sustain. Rathpith Globe in your focus slot is another big boost, and it pairs perfectly with high crit chance. You barely ever stop moving, and warp speed is cranked up with supports like Magnified Area II, Rapid Casting II, and Projectile Acceleration II. Ball Lightning sits in its own link with Cast on Crit, Lifetap, Multishot II, and Boundless Energy II, so as long as you’re hitting crits, the screen stays covered.
Defensively, you’re built to shrug off hits rather than dance around them. The tree picks up plenty of life and ES, plus Mind over Matter, Eldritch Battery, and Zealot’s Oath – those keystones tie the sustain engine together. Blood Mage ascendancy points go straight into Grasping Wounds and Sanguimancy, giving you constant recovery and critical synergy. With regen this high, incoming damage just melts away while you keep warping. There’s no “wait and see” – more attacks mean more recovery, so you lean right into the aggression.
Your gear outside the key uniques is whatever keeps your life and ES high, resistances capped, and cast speed climbing. Budget rares work fine early, but once you snag the good stuff it really opens up. Auras are minimal so you can focus on the action – Sigil with Prolonged Duration II for sustained buffs, Mana Tempest with Lifetap for boss bursts. It’s quick to put together, deadly in practice, and perfect if you want something that can rip through maps while taking hits without flinching. If you need to push it even further, you’ll want to shore up the gear with upgrades and absolutely buy PoE 2 Items to reach the build’s full potential.
