With its ability to attack from both above and below ground, it's one of the most unpredictable enemies in the game. Taking it down requires patience, awareness, and precise movement, but the rewards, ranging from rare Dark and Darker Items to stacks of Dark And Darker Gold, make it a highly desirable target for skilled adventurers.

Where to Find Giant Worm

The Giant Centipede is located within the Ruins, a crumbling, open dungeon filled with treacherous debris, hidden corners, and dangerous monsters. The Giant Worm tends to emerge in more open sections, using its burrow mechanics to close distances and surprise unsuspecting players. The uneven terrain can both help and hinder you, high ground can give you a better view of its approach, but narrow ledges can make dodging tricky.

Normal Version Mechanics

The normal Giant Worm has four distinct attacks, each requiring different dodging strategies:

    Ground Burrow

        The worm disappears beneath the ground and re-emerges with a devastating upward strike.

        How to Counter: Keep moving until it bursts out, then quickly close the gap into melee range, this prevents it from burrowing again immediately. Staying close forces the worm into its other, more predictable attacks.

    Forward Slam

        The worm lunges forward, slamming its head into the ground in front of it.

        How to Counter: Side-strafe left or right just before the impact. The timing window is generous compared to its other attacks, making this one of the easier moves to dodge.

    Low Horizontal Body Sweep

        The worm sweeps its massive body in a low arc across the battlefield.

        How to Counter: Step backward to avoid the sweep, then move in to punish while it recovers. The attack has a clear wind-up animation, giving you a small but reliable dodge window.

    Poison Pool

        The worm spews a pool of venomous liquid onto buying Dark And Darker Gold the ground, creating a dangerous zone that inflicts poison damage over time.

        How to Counter: Move out of the pool's range immediately. If the worm lingers inside, force it to burrow so it relocates away from the poison zone.
