The holiday’s about to fall apart because Marcus’s stash of seasonal guns and gifts has been pinched by a gang of mean-spirited bandits, and the whole event’s in danger of getting canned.

It’s a familiar kind of Borderlands madness, but with a fun twist, and for me it’s been a brilliant excuse to dive back in and farm some loot. Honestly, if you’re short on Borderlands 4 Cash, this pack makes grinding feel way less like a chore.

Here’s the surprise – it’s not the usual roster of Vault Hunters leading the charge. Instead, we get Rush, a jittery ex-courier whose claim to fame is moving fast… really fast. The guy’s basically speed personified, with an action skill that lets him tear across a fight in a blink, cutting distance or ducking danger like it’s second nature.

You’ll quickly realise it changes how you approach battles – you’re constantly repositioning, darting in and out, taking risks you wouldn’t with other characters. He doesn’t have the quiet, brooding hero vibe; he’s loud, impulsive, and not shy about mouthing off mid-fight. Exactly the kind of misfit you’d expect on Pandora.

The pack’s not huge in terms of story length, but each mission feels packed with momentum. You’re bouncing around the Glimmering Glacier – a gorgeous and downright icy new map – chasing down the gang that stole the loot. There are new enemies too: “Jingle-Hell Skags” that bite hard and “Gift-Wrapped Goliaths” who literally burst into presents when you crack their helmets. The final boss fight is pure spectacle – part sleigh pursuit, part frenzied shootout – and every second feels made for chaos lovers. Loot hunters are gonna have a field day; from shotguns that launch explosive baubles to rifles that freeze enemies into snowmen, it’s an absurdly fun set of gear to play with.

Finishing the bounty doesn’t just restore the holiday vibe, it throws a ton of good stuff your way. You’ll unlock exclusive skins – yes, the “Ugly Mercenary Day Sweater” is exactly as ridiculous as it sounds – plus a new weapon trinket and a legendary SMG you won’t find anywhere else. It’s a nice hit of fresh content and a reason to keep jumping back in between bigger expansions.

And if this is what the first drop in the Bounty Pack line feels like, I’m already counting the days till the next one.
